Woman dies in hotel room

Police operatives in Lagos are investigating the death of a housewife in a hotel room near Lanre Bus-stop in the Igando, Lagos, Nigeria.
A police source said the woman simply identified as Mrs. Abe, and a yet-to-be identified man at the weekend walked into the hotel and booked for a room.

The man was said to have sneaked out of the hotel room few hours after they had lodged.
It was gathered that on Sunday morning, the hotel cleaner went to clean the room and saw Mrs. Abe stone dead on the bed.
The police source said during investigation, it was discovered that the woman was a married woman and that the husband had been searching for her.
A police officer at the Igando Police Station said the woman’s husband was immediately contacted and he identified the woman as his wife.
The source said the corpse has since been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ngozi Braide, said the police were investigating to know the man who took the woman to the hotel room.
Braide said the woman’s husband identified the corpse before it was deposited in  the mortuary.
