'Kidnap' of Briton in Nigeria probed by Foreign Office

The Foreign Office is investigating reports that a Briton has been kidnapped in Nigeria.
The person is said to have been seized shortly after leaving the international terminal at Lagos Airport.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are aware of reports of a missing person and we are liaising with the Nigerian authorities."
The British High Commission told Reuters it was working closely with others to secure their release.
Kidnappings of both foreigners and wealthy Nigerians for ransom are relatively common in the country,
This month the three-year-old son of a state legislator and four Chinese nationals have been reported kidnapped, according to the Associated Press news agency.
Briton Chris McManus and Italian Franco Lamolinara were kidnapped in Nigeria in May 2011. They were killed by their captors when a UK-led force tried to rescue them in May 2012.
