Body of 16-year-old girl found in uncompleted building

It was a phone call laden with death. The decomposing body of a 16-year-old girl in Abia State, south east Nigeria has been discovered in an uncompleted building few days after she was allegedly lured to the house of her boyfriend through a phone call.
The lover, one Okorie, had asked a tricycle rider, Nwankwo to drop her in his house which he did  by 10 pm on July 11, 2013.
Her remains were days later discovered  in an uncompleted building with the dress she wore the day she  disappeared.

The sordid discovery was made by police detectives after a report of the disappearance of the teenage girl was made at the station by a good Samaritan.
The Abia State Police Commissioner, Mr Usman Tilli, who disclosed this to the media, said the 16-year-old girl name was simply given as Esther .
Mr Tilli said that two persons, Esther’s boyfriend, whose name was given as  Okorie and the tricycle rider called Nwankwo are in police custody helping the police in the investigation.
He said there were  allegations that the duo may have had a hand in the unfortunate incident. He said investigations were still being done on the matter. He said the decomposing body was in a state that made it difficult to know if any body part had been removed for rituals or other purposes.
Nwankwo in his statement to the police had said that Okorie phoned him to drive Esther to his house and that he left Lokpa Nta Cow market by 10 pm, insisting that he did nothing beyond dropping the girl at the venue as instructed by Okorie.
He said that on getting to Okorie’s house, he was not at home and he dropped Esther off and she sat under a mango tree in front of Okorie’s house waiting for him (Okorie) when he rode back to Lokpa Nta.
