Undergraduate goes insane in Ibadan

Tears flowed freely at Eleyele in Ibadan, the Oyo State, SOUTH WEST Nigeria on Wednesday, when a young man described as a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, suddenly became mad.
The incident created commotion in the area as sympathizers and residents wept uncontrollably after witnessing the incident.

The neatly dressed undergraduate whose identity was unknown as at press time was said to have alighted from a commercial vehicle and was seen buying a loaf of bread and suddenly went insane making incoherent statement while also tearing his clothes.
The bread seller, who spoke with Daily Sun on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the undergraduate had just bought bread from her, wondering what could have happened to him.
She prayed for God's urgent intervention in the student’s situation.
Another eyewitness, Mr. Ganiyu Salami also corroborated the bread seller's story wondering what could have caused the sudden insanity.
The undergraduate, who later fell into a drainage system, was thereafter, rescued and taken away.
Effort to locate his residence failed, as none of those seen with him was ready to volunteer useful information.
