In a bid to maintain its pedigree as
Africa’s most productive musical reality show and Academy, the MTN Project Fame
has begun intensive music and live-coaching classes for the contestants.
This will help contestants in the Academy
reach the desired height required for peak performances and stardom like their
predecessors, Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma and Mike.
The second week of the show has witnessed
an impressive performance from the contestants, just as five of them have been
placed on probation for possible eviction, as they jostle for grand prize
of N5 million Naira.
The five contestants on probation are Janet
Ayoka, Rowland Ricketts, Leornard Massaquoi, Oluchi Isreal and Simon Ekechukwu.
Ardent followers of the reality show have been placed on suspense, as voting is
currently ongoing to determine who stays in the Academy, this week.
The judges have shown how impressed they
are, going by their verdicts on each contestant’s delivery.
TY-Mix, one of Nigeria’s popular music
producers, could not hold back his admiration for the duo of Immaculate Patience
and Olawale Ojo. In his words, the two contestants, who rendered separate songs
by Aretha Franklin and Phil Collins, proved that they were top contenders for
the reality show’s ultimate prize.
