Rotary brings succour to the less privileged

Rotary Club of Igbobi Central, District 9110 – Nigeria has donated wheel chairs, smart canes, writing frames and stylus to people with disabilities in Lagos.
Lucky Gbagi donated the materials during his installation ceremony as the 31st president of the club for the 2017/2018 Rotary Year.

Gbagi also, on behalf of the club, presented Rotary Prestigious Humanitarian Service Award of Excellence to some notable members of the society who have impacted positively lives of many less privileged in the society. While the wheelchairs were donated to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Yaba, the smart canes, writing frames and stylus were donated to the School for the Blind.
Making the presentation, Gbagi said:  “What we are giving out today is just the beginning of a larger plan to reach out to the less privileged within our community. Within the period of my leadership, you will see more of this as my team is putting up a project that will positively impact the lives of people around us.”
Those who were given awards included, 2nd Vice President of Nigerian Bar Association, Monday Nyenkachi Ubani; Dr. Olurotimi Odunubi; Chief Abu Inu Umoru; Patrick Anegbe; Dr. Margaret Ladipo and Dr. Esther Ohihoin.
