General Overseer of Galilee Christian Centre, Lagos, Prophet Williams Onuoha has condemned the recent killing of worshippers at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Ozubulu community, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State,
Onuoha, who said perpetrators of the evil act were already doomed, spoke after a closed-door meeting with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
“What they have done is sacrilege before God and they will never go unpunished. God’s house is not a place where you perpetrate evil. It is a sacred ground and must remain so. They have made God angry and should be ready to face the consequence of their action,” he said.
He called on all to continue to pray against evil, saying the only solution to the numerous problems facing the nation is prayer.
The spiritual leader urged South East governors to be careful and remain vigilant, ‘‘because the devil wants to cause chaos in the region using some of his agents’’.
He appealed to the police to beef up security in houses of worship and speed up investigation to ensure that those behind the killings are made to face the law before they face God’s judgment.
Condoling with the family of the deceased, the cleric urged them to be strong and prayerful, as he assured that God would soon expose the real killers.
