About three months ago, rumour making the rounds was that Imo State Governor Rochas
Okorocha had given his Deputy, Prince Eze Madumere 90 days to either
resign or face impeachment. We have waited relentlessly for the
expiration said date to usher in the D-Day.
Today, One is amazed that Imo House of Assembly is yet to serve Prince
Madumere notice of summon to come and defend charges of gross misconduct
leveled against him. We have neither heard about the service of
impeachment notice on Imo Deputy Governor.Meanwhile, another fiction well written in a prose style had also
postulated that Prince Madumere was in soup over his power drunkenness.
He was said to have begun setting up political structure to contest 2015
guber election having not clarified from his boss, The Governor of Imo
State. The story continued that even the First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi
Okorocha got so furious that she called Prince Madumere an ingrate. Too
many Hypothesis by many analytical deficient minds all to run down
Prince Eze Madumere.
Like Tuface Idibia would say, if nobody talks about you then you are
nobody. There must be something about the Prince of Mbieri. He has
become the most talked about and the most visible Deputy Governor in
Nigeria.
“Whatever that has been ordained by the hands of the Almighty, no human
intent can thwart it”. These are divine words from Shakespeare, I
believe through the inspiration of a positive spirit that holistically
define our inter-relationship and existence guiding us through life’s
constructive path of progress. It reveals the divinity behind every
positive relationship, needed to put in place the will of God for his
people.
So much of fictional stories have been told. One, it was said by a good
for nothing paper, TRUMPETA , known for its legendary lies that
Madumere had fallen out of favor from his boss over what they said was
his setting of structure to run for 2015 gubernatorial election. In
another fiction, the script was that Imo Deputy Governor was described a
wicked man and as an ingrate for having forgotten in a hurry about the
man who made him. In some quarters, he is said to be a stumbling block
to some individuals thereby eliciting anger from the powers that be.
Ask them their sources, they tell you that is what they say and who are those people? They are ghost blabbers if not gossips.
The strength of every relationship political or otherwise lies in
certain enduring features; “understanding, patience, sacrifice and
loyalty”. These components can be found overflowing and yielding
positive results in the leadership relationship between the Imo state
Governor, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his Deputy, His
Excellency Prince Eze Madumere. A relationship that spanned over many
years and passing through the test of time from a pre-Government era to
their current era in power.
The two have seen it all, and surpassed it all, just like father and
son, they make a formidable leadership team. The toast of many, and envy
to so many, especially with the Governor’s achievement thus far. No
wonder, they have attracted so many backlashes from the opposition,
jealousy!
The latest onslaught against this developmental team of Owelle and
Madumere is quite unfortunate. Having exhausted all avenues to disparage
the ongoing development fun in Imo, these political no-goods have
resorted to using the instrument of propaganda as they attempt to inject
disharmony into Owelle’s camp, propagating stories of disaffection
between Owelle and his Deputy, laughable indeed.
If you are hoping to engage in a lesson of loyalty, I suggest you see
the Deputy Governor of Imo state, Prince Eze Madumere, he understands
it. For a man who deputizes a people-oriented Governor like Owelle
Rochas Okorocha, what reason will he have to go against him? I just
wonder.
Everything about this man, Prince Eze Madumere, depicts Rochas Okorocha
regardless the load of responsibilities entrusted on him by his boss,
his simplicity and humility continues to speak Rochas, and breaths
Rochas! On his part, His Excellency Rochas Okorocha, who happens to be a
construction genius, a builder cum development architect sees his
deputy as a dependable partner in progress just as Prince Eze Madumere
never fails to appreciate his tutelage under a Governor in the capacity
of Owelle Rochas Okorocha, “a leader is a leader if he gives birth to
leaders”.
I call on these mischievous contractors of evil to redirect their
energies to something more productive rather than waste it on frivolous
political adventures that will only end up inviting unhealthy judgments
on their descendants.
Long live Imo State.
